    Glenveagh National Park lies in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains in the north-west of Co. Donegal. It is a remote and hauntingly beautiful wilderness of rugged mountains and pristine lakes. The Park, over 14,000 acres in extent consists of three areas. Glenveagh is the haunt of many rare and interesting plants and animals and is famous for it’s fine herd of red deer.

    The Tower Museum is located within the City’s historic walls and has won four major awards since its opening in October 1992.The Tower Museum houses two permanent exhibitions: "The Story of Derry" & "An Armada Shipwreck Both exhibitions use a range of display and interactive techniques to present their stories. It is the only museum in the city to provide the history of the city from its geological formation to present day.

    Sliabh a'liag dominates the lower half of the Glen river valley. Geologists tell us that the Sliabh Liag - pronounced "Slieve League" cliff rocks were laid down on the bottom of a long vanished ocean half a billion years ago.Sliabh Liag /Slieve League sea cliffs are the highest cliffs in Europe at 900ft (300m). The highest point on the Sliabh a Liag cliffs is where the Ordinance survey cement triangle point marks it at 1,972 ft or 600 metres. There is an incredibly beautiful walk from Bunglass to Malinbeg near Glencolmcille. Sightseeing boat trips along the Slieve League cliffs with Nuala Star Teelin are available.
